Each cymbal undergoes two rounds of artisan hand-hammering with a treatment of hand-lathing in between, creating multiple thicknesses across the cymbal’s surface. This process unlocks multiple sounds: a defined ping, a cutting bell, and a massive musical wash at full tilt. At Todd’s request, the Sessions Ride features a bell tone that is higher than the cymbal’s fundamental, which gives you added icy cut to help carry those riffs, patterns, and articulations.
